while in buying cockrails some times your locality decides on your choice of colour , some places prefer the black cockrails to the white and some may even prefer the brown to the black or white but all in all the have same management system but colour differentials.

some of the items needed from brooding are as follows but not limited to;

DRINKERS

They are plastic red and white containers used to put what for birds ,They can be in order forms like small water open containers,long stainless drinkers and open pipes.

FEEDERS

The feeders or the feeding trays are used to put feed for the birds

HEAT

source of heat is very important cos day old birds needs warmth to cold killing the birds and in most times we use charcoal pots to provide this heat.

this charcoal put could be old iron bowls filled with dry charcoal with are usual lite with matches and placed at the center of the broader to provided a circulated heat.

In some cases where electricity is steady u can use a 100 watts electric bulb

what ever method you decided on using make sure you avoid smoke and always see that the heat is mild and not oven hot.

LIGHT

This is usually put on for the birds at night to avoid stampede that may arise due to fear of any movement at nights

so we use local lamps,rechargeable lamps or electric bulbs.

WOOD SHAVING

We normally place this on the floor for the birds to match on while moving around in the broader or cage.

it also helps to keep the place neat and dry

Remember their a huge difference between wood shaving and saw dust , The saw dust is sandy and dusty while the wood shaving is thicker both are got from sawmill.

WATERPROF/NYLON/TAPOLIN

This is usually used to cover the window and door during the first few days of the birds when the birds needs heat.in the normal weather its usually about 10 days but in very cold periods it could be up to 17 day and its removal is best done gradually for easy adaptation to the new weather.
