PLANTING
WE HAVE PLANTERS WHO CHARGE BETWEEN 8000-1000
FOR NOW, WE DON’T HAVE MECHANIZED PLANTERS AROUND.
THEN SALES
MOST TIMES ITS WET THAT IS IN HIGHER DEMAND AND YOU DON’T PAY MONEY ON SHELLING THE WOMEN WILL HARVEST AND REMOVE THE LEAVES THEIR SELF
FOR THOSE PLANNING ON DRY THE SHELLING IS BASED ON BAGS AND ITS PURE BARGING DEPENDING ON HOW GOOD YOUR MAIZE PRODUCED

COST OF LAND LEASE IS NOT INCLUDED AS THAT IS A VERY VARYING COST BASED ON RELATIONSHIP WITH LAND OWNERS SOME MAY EVEN GIVE FOR FREE BUT EXPECT YOU TO GIVE THEM SOME HARVEST WHILE SOME MAY CHARGE DEPENDING.

INSECTICIDE = I LITER (THIS WILL LAST FOR 1 CIRCLE) = 1800
PLANTING = 8000
SEED = TREATED HYBRID SEED 700(2KG)*7=4900
SECOND SPAYING
SELECTIVE HERBICIDES AND INSECTICIDE
SELECTIVE HERBICIDE = 2500*2= 5000
PLUS, SPRAYING LABOUR= 4000
FERTILIZER
FERTILIZER APPLICATION DEPENDS ON THE LAND IF IT’S A LAND THAT HAS BEEN OVER USED IT WILL REQUIRE MORE BUT IF NOT, IT WILL REQUIRE LESS
3 BAGS OF NPK 15-15= 7500*3=22500
LAST SPAYING
CONTACT HERBICIDE = 1650 * 2=3300
LABOUR = 4000
2 BAGS OF UREA FERTILIZER =14000
TOTAL COST=92,800

We shall be looking at maize we have two main colours of commercial maize in Nigeria, we have the yellow maize and the white maize Depending on your location in Nigeria both Maize are very commercially viable.
